Two Ways to Download X Videos in Aye
Open X in Aye Browser and play the video you want to save. You can then use either of the following methods.
Method 1: Use the Download Button on the X Video
For supported videos, a circular download button appears automatically at the top-right corner of the video. Click the button to download the X video directly to your computer.
If several videos are visible in a timeline or conversation, open the individual X post and play the video you want to download.
Method 2: Use "Save Current Video" in Aye's Sidebar
With the X video open and playing, open the conversation panel in Aye's sidebar. When Aye detects the video on the current page, Save Current Video appears in the sidebar. Click it to download the current X video.
Aye will prepare the video before starting the download. During this process, the button may briefly change to Cancel Preparing. Keep the X post open until the download begins.
You do not need to copy the X post link or send it to another video downloader.
After Either Method: Choose a Download Folder
The first time you download an X or Twitter video, Aye may ask you to select a folder.
Choose Downloads or another folder on your Mac or Windows computer. After the folder is authorized, Aye can use it for future video downloads.
Check the Download Record
Open Aye's download menu to view the download progress.
When the download is complete, the record displays the MP4 filename and file size. Click Show in folder to find the saved X video on your computer.

Where Are X Videos Saved on Mac or Windows?
Aye saves downloaded X videos in the folder you select.
If you choose the standard Downloads folder, the MP4 file will appear in that folder on your Mac or Windows computer. You can also click Show in folder in Aye's download record.
The filename may use the X post ID or the video's media identifier. Aye automatically selects an available video source, so the resolution and file size may vary between X posts.
The current download flow does not include a manual format or resolution selector.
Download Private X or Twitter Videos
Aye can download a private X video when you are signed in with an account that is authorized to view the post and you have the right to save it.
Because Aye works inside your existing desktop browser session, you do not need to submit a private X or Twitter link to a separate online downloader.
Aye does not bypass X account permissions. If your account cannot view the private post, Aye cannot access its video.
X Video Downloader Troubleshooting
The Video Download Button Does Not Appear
Play the X video and wait for the page to finish loading. If neither the circular button on the video nor Save Current Video appears:
- Open the individual X post.
- Make sure the video is visible and playable.
- Refresh the page.
- Sign in if the post requires an X account.
- Update Aye to the latest available version.
Aye Finishes Preparing but the Download Does Not Start
Check whether Aye is waiting for you to choose or authorize a download folder.
You can also play the video again, refresh the X post, and retry the download. Some X videos may use media sources that are temporarily unavailable or unsupported.
Aye Detects the Wrong X Video
This can happen when several videos are visible on the same page. Open the individual X post, play the intended video, and then use the circular download button or Save Current Video.

Open Settings > About in Aye. On a Mac, hold down the Option key; on Windows, hold down the Alt key. While holding the key, left-click the version number three times. This adds 100 uses to your AI quota. The version number may be different from 1.2.7 in newer versions of Aye.
