Prerequisites

Ensure that both your Mac and Apple TV are connected to the same Wi-Fi network.

Mac Setup

  1. Open the App Store, download, and install WebDAVNav Server.
  2. Launch WebDAVNav Server and click Settings in the top menu bar.
  3. Go to the General tab and click Start to launch the WebDAV server.
  4. Click Select Folder to Share and choose the video folder you want to share.
  5. (Optional)* Switch to the Authentication tab and set a Username and Password foradditional security.

Apple TV Setup

  1. Open the Vidhub app.

  2. Go to File Source and tap the ➕ button to add a new source.

  3. Select Add Network Storage (SMB/WebDav/AList).

  4. Switch to the WebDav/AList option.

  5. In the Server Address field, enter the http://192.xxx.xxx.xxx:xxx address displayed at the bottom of the WebDAVNav Server interface.

  6. If you set a Username and Password in WebDAVNav Server, enter them here. Otherwise, leave these fields blank.

  7. Tap Add, select the shared video folder, and start streaming videos from your Mac on Vidhub.

Additional Notes

• WebDAVNav Server uses port 8080 by default. If you encounter an “Address already in use” error, it means the port is occupied. You can change the port in WebDAVNav Server settings to an unused one (e.g., 8081, 9090).

• If you experience connection issues, ensure that WebDAVNav Server is running, or try restarting both your Macand Apple TV.
