How to Play Mac Video Resources on iPhone / Apple TV

Within Apple's ecosystem, we expect to break through the limitations between devices and achieve smooth sharing of video resources between iPhone, Apple TV, and Mac. Here are the specific steps to do so.

I. Using SMB Mounting

Mac Operations:

1. Open Mac System Preferences — General — File Sharing — Turn on.
2. Click on the exclamation mark on the right, and then click the “+” under Shared Folders.
3. Select the path of your video resources.
4. Set up the user and click Done.

iPhone / Apple TV Operations:

1. On the same network, open vidhub.
2. Click Add File Source — Add SMB.
3. If available shares appear below, you can click directly; if not, enter your Mac's IP address into the Server Address (hold the option key on Mac and click the Wi-Fi icon to reveal it).
4. Enter the username and password you just set up on your Mac; the domain can be left blank.
5. Click Add, select the path you want to mount, and the operation is complete.

II. Using WebDAV Mounting

Mac Operations:

1. Download WebDAVNav Server from the App Store.
2. Open the software and click on the menu bar — settings.
3. Click General — Start.
4. Click Select Folder Share and choose the path you want to mount.
5. Switch to the Authentication section and set up the username and password.

iPhone / Apple TV Operations:

1. On the same network, open vidhub.
2. Click Add File Source — Add WebDAV.
3. Enter the IP address starting with 192 from WebDAVNav Server into the Server Address, and input the port number 8080.
4. Enter the username and password you just set up in WebDAVNav.
5. Click Add, select the path you want to mount, and the operation is complete.
